Hurricane Milton made landfall in Florida last night as a Category 3 storm, bringing devastating winds, heavy rainfall and storm surges that have severely affected communities across the state. The hardest-hit areas include the Florida Panhandle, where coastal towns have experienced significant flooding and property damage. In addition, parts of central Florida reported widespread power outages, downed trees and structural damage to homes and businesses.

Preliminary reports estimate thousands of homes have been impacted, with damage to critical infrastructure, including roads and bridges. Local authorities are currently focused on search and rescue operations, while the full extent of the destruction is still being assessed.

At CAT, we are fully mobilized and responding to this devastation. Our team of adjusters are on the ground and we have a dedicated support site in Florida. Together, we can provide much-needed relief and expedite the recovery process for those impacted by Hurricane Milton.

Currently a Category 4 Hurricane, Milton is projected to make landfall late tonight and into Thursday morning. It is currently headed towards the western Florida Gulf Coast where it will make landfall before heading across Florida's Peninsula.

Milton brings life-threatening storm surge, winds up to 145 mph, tornado watches and heavy rainfall which could cause flash flooding. Anyone in Milton's path should follow safety precautions immediately. Crawford & Company is prepared to restore these lives and communities when it is time to do so.

Hurricane Milton has rapidly intensified into a Category 4 storm, with sustained winds of 150 mph as it moves across the Gulf of Mexico toward Florida's western coast. Milton is expected to remain a Category 4 hurricane over the next couple days, with landfall projected for Wednesday evening.
